The Herzog Medical Campus - A Centre of Medical Influence
For the past 130 years, Herzog Medical Centre has lead Israel – and the World – on the forefront of ground-breaking geriatric, respiratory, mental health and psychotrauma care and research. Its innovative treatment has significantly impacted all sectors of society and its research has placed it on the international map as a world-class medical center dedicated to excellence in quality care.
Since its establishment as the Ezrath Nashim Hospital in 1894, the Herzog Medical Centre has expanded and is among the leading hospitals in its field in Israel, offering hospital facilities to accommodate a total of 550 hospital beds. Herzog Medical Center has embarked on an ambitious project to establish a Centre of Medical Influence. This endeavor is part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to offer expanded top quality medical facilities that meet the health and medical needs of the country’s growing population. The new campus engenders an expanded vision for how hospitals enrich the social fabric and vitality of the communities they serve. Such a campus will allow Herzog Medical Centre to offer medical facilities to accommodate a total of 1,200 hospital beds, a project which is part of the Israel Health Ministry’s strategy to significantly upgrade Israel’s health system by 2030.
It is our hope that through this expansion project, Herzog Medical Centre will become situated as a wider health campus that contributes to civic life as a living system in which continuous learning and development maintains the involvement of its partners. Herzog Medical Centre plans on carrying out five capital initiatives as the first phase, in order to establish its new health campus (for more information on each project please click on the following links after the video below.)
