Celebrating 130 Years of Innovation & Excellence

This year marks 130 years since Herzog Medical Center first opened its doors in Jerusalem. Founded in 1894 by a group of visionary women — compassionate community leaders determined to care for those society overlooked — Herzog has grown from a small shelter in the Old City into a world-class hospital with over 700 dedicated staff, providing specialized care to thousands of Israelis from all walks of life.

Throughout decades of challenges and today’s ongoing crises, Herzog remains steadfast in its mission: to deliver personalized, dignified care to those who need it most.

Today, Herzog is stepping up like never before — expanding capacity and improving care to meet Israel’s most urgent needs:

  • Caring for elderly patients with no one else to turn to.
  • Operating the largest respiratory care unit in the Middle East.
  • Treating children traumatized by war and terror.
  • Supporting IDF soldiers and veterans battling PTSD.
  • Helping individuals on the long road to rehabilitation and emotional recovery.

Herzog is here for the aftermath — but we can’t do it alone.
