Parkinson's Disease Management Clinic
The clinic provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary and individualized care and treatment to Parkinson's Disease patients combined with a realistically optimistic attitude.
The staff of the clinic is a multi-disciplinary team of medical and paramedical specialists with expertise in Parkinson’s Disease and movement disorders:
Medical Staff: neurologist geriatrician and geriatric nurse.
Paramedical Staff: social worker, occupational therapist and physiotherapist.
To achieve optimal results, the medical team consults with specialists in fields such as neurosurgery, urology, psychiatry, nutrition and rehabilitation.
A case manager (one of the team's specialists) is assigned to each patient.
All the specific evaluations are integrated to a comprehensive evaluation and recommended treatment plan agreed upon the interdisciplinary staff. The patient then receives an oral and written comprehensive evaluation and a recommended treatment plan from the assigned case manager.
The clinic provides follow-up services to the treatment plan in consultation with the patient directly or in coordination with the family physician.
The staff of the clinic is involved in clinical and basic research to enable an ongoing improvement in the evaluation process and to provide more effective treatment plans.
