Treatment for Children
|
The Children's Clinic provides a comprehensive range of services to children from the age of four to eighteen. Within the Clinic, Dr. Eisenberg runs a special unit for children who suffer from Tourette Syndrom and ADHD. A comprehensive neuropsychological examination takes place, as well as treatment and counseling for parents. There are approximately 300 visits per month, with 200 new cases evaluated per year at the Children's Clinic. Treatments include individual long-term psychotherapy, behaviour therapy, time limited strategic therapy, psychological testing, family therapy, parent counseling, pharmacotherapy, and expert evaluation for the Welfare Bureau and juvenile courts. Dr. Eisenberg administers computerized assessments for measuring attention spans in children with attention deficit disorder. A special feature of our Children's Clinic is that in assessing a patient, we integrate information from clinical and neuropsychological sources.
