Acute Internal Medicine

The Department of Acute Geriatric Internal Medicine provides comprehensive short term medical treatment for the elderly enabling them to return home after a full recovery.
The Department cares for serious events that bring the elderly to the Hospital. These include influenza, pneumonia, heart attacks, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal disorders and other complications. The unit for Long Term Respiratory Care is currently part of this department.
